We recently adopted Rocky from Friends of Pets rescue in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. He is a 20 month old setter, terrier mix and has been a very good dog so far. In the week that he has been with us he has proven himself to be super loving and easy-going with people.

He's already learned to play fetch with the ball as well as with the tug toy. He's also learning how to walk on a leash without pulling, well...until he sees the cows or a squirrel. The chipmunks that live around our deck drive him nuts when he sees them from inside the house. He points at them (setter) and gets very excited. We're working on breaking one bad habit-he's an escape artist around doors. He has so much fun when he escapes, but we know how dangerous it is, so we're working on training him to sit and stay around doors.

The cows were moved into the pasture nearest our house so we thought Rocky should go out and meet them. He definately noticed them through the windows and let us know about them with much whining. As Katie and Rocky waited at the fence a mini-herd of cows came over to check them out. Rocky was curious and excited to see them but he managed to maintain a reasonable amount of calmness. As the bull came close to the fence, he and Rocky exchanged curiousity.
