in Saranac Lake

Welcome to our website sharing our honeymoon in the Adirondack Mountains of
New York. After our wedding on July 28, 2001 we drove to Saranac Lake eager
for an exciting honeymoon. Sitting in a heart-shaped jacuzzi or floating
around in a cruise ship was not part of our plans. We wanted to relax and be
tourists for a week before enjoying the Adirondack mountains on foot.
We stayed in a small cabin in Saranac Lake, NY during the first week of our
honeymoon. From there we explored the Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and
surrounding areas.
After our stay in the cabin, we parked our car at an ADK (Adirondack Mountain Club)
parking lot and backpacked in the High Peaks Area of the Adirondack Mountains
for four days.
Rather than come straight home after our hike, we made a detour to Niagara
Falls for a night. We checked out the falls the next day and then came
back to Ohio.
